JOIN US at Wigert’s Bonsai for this workshop on Kusamono or Shitakusa plantings!

Kusamono (literally meaning “grass thing”) and shitakusa (literally meaning “undergrass”) are a potted collection of plants designed to be viewed either in accompaniment with bonsai or alone. Normally, the term kusamono is used when the planting is displayed as the center of attention, while the term shitakusa is used for plantings that accompany a bonsai.

Instructor Martha Goff teaches you about this Japanese art form of creating small plantings using grasses, lilys, orchids and more!

Class is $35 with the purchase of a Bonsai Pot from our shop, and the workshop includes two plantings.
